The labortory assistant performs a support function for the flow cytometry reagent production lab. Although not a cGMP facility, the laboratory is run as such which demands a high level of QC/QA activites to maintain compliance. The job inovlves many clerical duties, data entry, filing, record maintenance, simple reagent preparation, QC activities, and the ability to strictly adhere to SOPs. Envisioned as a shared position with other departments as needed on occassion, the primary responsibility is the production lab.
Will prepare orders, make simple general pupose reagents, perform non-complex quality control tests, enter QC data into spreadsheets, maintain production's quality records and inventory control, prepare orders and shipments to our POD cities. In addition, the aide will perform clerical duties relating to scanning documents, filing, filling out requests and forms, retrieving data, data entry, printing forms, updating records on antibodies, organize QC data from the PODs and clear a large backlog of records. Many of these tasks require working with large, complex Microsoft XL spreadsheets, Microsoft Word documents
EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma
EXPERIENCE:
Required: One to three years experience in laboratory or medical environment.
